iPhone Prototype Leak Leads to Suicide

Since when was an iPhone worth a human life? Apparently it is in China, if you lose a prototype. A worker from Foxconn, a company that makes iPhones for Apple, was subjugated to "unbearable interrogation techniques" for losing a prototype, which lead him to commit suicide. More in the link below.

A sad story indeed. I wonder how Apple will respond.

  1. That is such a sad story. I wonder what kind of other stuff goes on like that in China? It's sad to think that this guy was treated so badly over a lost cell phone prototype that his only resort was to end his life. If that prototype was so top secret why was he even allowed to have that kind of access to it? I wonder what would happen if something like that happened in the United States?! Regardless, to commit suicide over a cell phone is such a waste!
