Jack and Jill
Natalie Perez
Lori Rosales
Kellie Smith
Leigh Rodrigue
We wanted to take something current and apply it to the sadistic nursery rhyme from the 1700’s. As a group, we choose Jill Biden and Jack Daniels to represent Jack and Jill. The Jack and Jill from the original children’s story and our Jill both have political ties. The nursery rhyme is about King Louis XVI, as Jack, who was beheaded (lost his crown) and was followed right after by Marie Antoinette, as Jill. We thought it would be funny to apply someone involved in today’s politics and our culture's obsession with alcohol to the original story.
