I just wanted to take a moment, and say that I apologize to any of you who may be offended by my humor. However, I can't apologize for my humor itself. I am who I am, and I'm rather proud of that. I do think that a lot of stuff that may be seen as controversial, taboo, or inappropriate is hilarious. So yes, I do tend to make some off the wall comments or suggestions. But please know that it is in good fun, and that I mean to malice towards any individual or group. I used to be a mild manner kinda guy. Unfortunately, the navy was able to increase my perversions to unknown limits. But since we are all studying communication, try to see it as just another aspect in the great circle of social, personal, and interpersonal communication techniques.
If that doesn't work for a good argument to support my humor... How about that I'm a two time war veteran (yes, the two in the middle-east... if anyone actually pays attention to them any more), and suffer from a small case of PTSD. (YUP! I just made a PTSD joke!) But that in itself is a very healthy way to help cope with a very real social issue.
If that's not a valid enough reason either... Then I have no way to defend my stand point. But on a lighter note, I am really happy to see all the nerds in the class who aren't afraid to show it! I say we make it a game, and have ourselves a good old fashion "Nerd-off."
